Reuse my lifters or replace?

My lifters has close to 200,000 miles on them and I just put a ZZ4 cam in the engine they are roller lifters and I'm wondering if I should just replace them or reuse them. I found that summit offers some cheap lifters, should I even bother taking them apart and cleaning the used ones because of all the miles and new cam? Also has anyone used these lifters and will they work with my engine 5.7? I know summit says they will but I want to be sure. Here is the link, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...4&autoview=sku

If your lifters aren't gunked up, then you should be able to reuse them. The big thing is the roller itself, you need to carefully inspect each one.

The Summit lifters are the right ones. I don't know of anyone who has used them specifically, but they should be fine with the ZZ4 cam if you want to go with them.

Re: Reuse my lifters or replace?

take one of your pushrods and put the lifter on top of it. if the lifter plunger moves easily replace the lifter

take the roller on the bottom and try to twist it. any play-replace it

just replace its so much easier safer and you knwo that thier new and as for going after market to find roller lifters dont do it just go to advance auto parts and schoose a 90 camaro with a 350 roller engine and ask for lifters....SSOOOOOO much cheaper than aftermarket
