easy job gone wrong with spark plugs

i wanted to replace the spark plugs for my 90 Camaro Iroc and for some reason its sounds like not all of the cylinders are running now, Could it be that the connect is bad or did i switch plugs on the distributor cap by accident? how can i find out exactly which plug goes where is there some diagram?

Re: easy job gone wrong with spark plugs

you probably have the wires connected wrong, the car will run like garbage when you have even two plugs backwards. I would get a chiltons or haynes manual, they will be of some help with these types of problems. But this may help in the mean time:
right side of distributor back to front 5-7-2-1
left side back to front 6-3-4-8

Re: easy job gone wrong with spark plugs

You need to locate the # 1 cylinder on your distributor and make sure all of your plug wires on the cap are in the right firing order.

firing order for a small block is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 from the # 1 cyl go in a clockwise direction around the dizzy.

You can verify # 1 with a timing light on the #1 wire, if you see timing mark lineing up on balancer with car in timing bypass mode your on #1.
