Need Help bad..

Hi, I have a 1986 IROC-Z with the 305 TPI. Saturday I pulled out of the driveway and the car shut off about 300ft down the road like you turned the key off. It hasnt started since then. Turns over but the fuel pump never comes on. Tryed jumping the fuel pump and it comes on, get fuel pressure, but will not come on without being jumped. Bought a Noid light and checked the injectors and it doesnt do anything doesnt light up at all. dont know if this means anything or not but if you stick a test light on either one of the sides of the injector plug with key on it has power? Changed the ECM(?) tonight it was the silver box under the dash on the pass side of the car. Still doesnt do anything. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with the car? Thanks Brandon

Re: Need Help bad..

Possible fuse or relay. if the pump turns on when you jump it, and it was just running, it's gotta be a simple electrical issue.

Re: Need Help bad..

Im sure this is probley the problem but I was lookin at the plugs on the drivers side in front of the fire wall and there is about 5 wires just hangin out of one of them! do any of these plugs have to do with the fuel system? I tryed pushing them back up in the plug and wiggling it around just to see if anything would start to work but nothing happened. Thanks

Re: Need Help bad..

check the fuse at the battery. there should be a wire coming from the positive terminal over to an in-line fuse prolly mounted on the inner fender. check it to make sure it is good. that will cause your symptoms.

An obvious question that hasn't been asked or answered, Does it have spark?

Yes, pulled a spark plug and its sparking. spray fuel into the throttle body and I can get it to at least fire but will not start.
