How about some small engine performance?
Haha, even though this isn't third gen related I figured it might entertain a few people, or spark a few imaginations. By small engines, I'm talking briggs and straton lawnmower sized engines. Obviously, few want to make their lawnmower faster, but some people do have go-karts or dirt bikes that I'm sure would have no problem going faster on.
Also, most performace modifications would have to do with fabrication. It would be hard to find a different intake tube, or higher flowing carburator (unless fitted from a bigger motor).
What brought this up is I'm fabricating a go kart type device, and I'm doing various things to push as many ponies out as I can. I'm fitting the gearing from a mountain bike so it will essentially have a 21 speed manual transmission. I will be welding together a stepped header, and I might try a slight porting job in the valve bowls and intake area. Has anyone else done anything like this? or know any tips/tricks to push out more ponies? I'm sure this thread may be regarded a silly by some, but thats okay.
