dipstick tube too big wont go into engine
what should i do with this dipstick? passenger side block, new dipstick and tube, aftermarket o.e. pan. the tube goes into the block portion, but does not go through the pan portion, it is hitting the hole in the pan, i did not realize that it was an actual hole, i thought it was just open like all the pictures of pans on summit's website. the hole is a tiny bit smaller than the block opening. i suppose i could get it in there, but i dont want it to be stuck in there like the previous tube, that i had a hella time getting out, which lead me to buying a new one. i dont want it stuck in there because if i ever have to remove the header for whatever reason. any suggestions? i have the an old stock passenger side block and pan that i tried putting it in, and it goes in and out just fine. i took a mirror and looked from underneath the car, and it looked like the picture i have attached. not that much of a difference in size, but just enough to where i might be able to hammer the tube in. i thought about drilling it out, but i dont want to have to worry about fishing all the shavings out, and maybe not getting all of them.

File the dipstick tube down, and clean it off and install. You can put some silicon around the portion that is a loose fit on the block.

yea i already filed the tube down pretty far, the walls are pretty thin, i dont think i can get it any smaller without breaking through it.
