car dies when accelerates
Its an 88 gta 305 tpi and it just died at a intersection if it idles for to long it just slowly dies if i let it sit for awhile it'll run fine for about 5 minutes then just slowly looses power again im pretty sure its a fuel problem and im thinking the pump anyone else got any clues?????

I agree with you, I'd start by checking your fuel pressure with a gauge and take it from there. My car did something similar a few years back, and it was the pump.

I would agree to check the pressure on your fuel line. The tpi system typically runs at 43-45 lbs. When was the last time you changed out your fuel filter? That could also hinder the proper flow of gas.
If those don't lead to the problem pull some plugs and check to make sure they aren't fouled up. I had the same problem a long time ago because I just ran my plugs for too long!
