IT'S ALIVE. BIG THANKS.
just a big thank you to all here that helped with all the great info and tips. this was my first bottom up rebuild, ( pistons, rings, bearings, bore, ect.). there is no better feeling in the world when you turn the key and it starts up and runs the first time. especially when you did all the work yourself, except the machine shop work of course.
thanks to all, happy hollidays.
p.s. to all who think they cant do it, if i did any one can.

84, found a partial roll of galvenized roof flashing like 24 gauge or so in the trash pile next to a new house they were building. i used a pair of tin snips and some pop rivets then sprayed the whole firewall with undercoating in a can. kind of blended everything in. one mans trash is another mans treasure.

So, how's it run?

have not got a chance to stomp on it yet but man it sounds nasty with the tru duals. i only got a couple laps around the block to seat the rings and get the tranny heated up to top off the fluids. but man she feels like she wants to go. big difference from before ( 3 pistons with broke ring lands). hopefully this weekend ill get her dialed in.
