can this handle 6000rpms
Stock iron crank, lt4 powdered metal rods, and cast pistons. comp xe274 rhs vortecs and a rpm air gap will be going into this motor plan on making power to 6000rpms just curious can the block take it.

i've pushed a cast 383 with forged pistons to 7k on a burnout.. power peaked at 5800.. 383's dont like to rev either.. you should be fine.. just make sure your tuning is good and prevent detonation..

It will take it. I know a guy that takes a stock short block and spins 8000 RPMs every weekend. and I spin my 355 to 6000 RPMs and it has a cast crank and rods.

yeah as long as its balanced...i plan to take my L98 to over 6000 occassionally with a safe conservative tune
