Edelbrock performer heads?

Hi, So I have been looking at a set of Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads 60859, They seem to be a pretty good set up, I would be looking at the ones already assembled for my 91 T/A L98 A4 setup, gonna put headers on, and already have a bigger Throttle body and maybe a bigger cam, not sure on all the specs, Are these heads any good?

Re: Edelbrock performer heads?

They're decent for mild engines, but Trick Flow 195s are better. So are AFR Eliminators, but they're more expensive.

Re: Edelbrock performer heads?

And is there any downfall to running aluminum heads on a cast iron block?

Re: Edelbrock performer heads?

Summit Racing sells the Trick Flow heads, because they are made by Summit.

We have been using aluminum heads on iron blocks for years. No problems.

Re: Edelbrock performer heads?

go ahead and by the best heads you can afford and later on if you make(you will!) more performance upgrades, you'll have enough heads to handle it.

Re: Edelbrock performer heads?

Well, i guess I decided to go with the Patriot heads, The specs on them should be plenty enough, and they are a good price.
