Hey Guys,

Well i bought a new intake manifold for my 89 iroc-z 305 TPI 5-speed manual, and installed it last weekend. Now after putting everything back together, the car is having a really hard time starting...after flooring the gas it actually starts and is pretty much idling with the pedal to the floor. once you take your foot off the gas pedal it completly dies! Any suggestions??? Any help, greatly appreciated..

 

Check your fuel pressure at the rails.

 

ok, i got the car running last night..messed with the distributor and timming...but now..after it starts and runs for a little while...and you stop it...it wont start again till it really cools down..the fans are running...everything seems fine...also..sometimes when releasing the clutch it just dies...am i getting closer to resolving this issue...or worse? after having the car not wanting to start in the first place..
