Valve Stem Seals

What kind of valve stem seals should I get, the umbrella, o-ring, or the positive stop type?

Re: Valve Stem Seals

I installed the Umbrella type, and have had no problems with them. Work good to, engine has over 200,000 miles on it, and does not use any oil.

Re: Valve Stem Seals

Positives on the intake are best. You still want an umbrella on the exhaust. The best umbrellas are the premium fel pro's that are the high temp plastic type w/ rubber insert.

You use an O ring with both positive and umbrella type seals. It is not a separate option for seals.
