Need Help - Won't Start

I have a 85 camaro with a 305 that is carb'd. Started it up the other day to move it and it ran fine. Backed it up, went to pull forward and it shut off. Wouldn't restart. Took the cap off and the rotor was destroyed. Replaced cap/rotor. Wouldn't start. Cranks but doesn't really "try". Replaced the ignition module, no change. Rotor is turning. Put an old wire on the cap with a plug in it, laid on shock tower and get yellow spark. looks really weak. Put a known good Ignition coil and ECM in it. No change. I am going nuts. What's left? It does have gas flow and compression. Dumping fuel down the carb doesn't change anything. I am trying to sell the car since I have two camaros right now so this is a pain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kerry

Hey Kerry..just went through this and almost pounded a hole in the wall figuring it out, if he rotor was destroyed did it rub on the cap as that would most likely be a bad bearing in the distributor causing the rotor o hit the cap. There is an easy test you can do to test the ign module and the coil and grounds...basically everthing but the dist to isolate the problem.take a 6 volt lantern battery and wire the negative to any ground on the car, remove the ign module and ground it ( I took a wire to ground with a spring loaded clamp) to the back of the module, plug in the 2 wire connecor from the coil to the ign module, with the key on you should be able to complete the circit from the positive of the lantern battery to the "P" terminal of the ignition module and when this voltage is removed from the "P" terminal you should get spark from the high voltage point on the coil. Hopefully I explained it correctly. If not i know there is a link to an autozone page regarding this on the site somewhere....good luck!!!
