i have a 1988 gta 350 tpi,last week it started missing then it just quit.now it started again and wont stop,check engine light comes on when started most of the time,injectors ohmed out good,any help?thanks

because someone took it? j/k man, do a good tune up on it ,cap,rotor,plugs wires. when was the fuel filter changed? later jimmy

 

i put a fuel filter on yesterday,if it was a wire or plug why would it stop doing it,i took the cap off it looked fine.

 

if cap looks good then check the wires good, could have a burnt spot on one,check it for cracks.plugs will sometimes not fire if theyre old or carbonrd up, or fowled from oil deposits.hth,jimmy

 

ya I kinda got a similar problem, though my iroc has a 350 with an eldelbrock carb and manifold. The idle timing is at 10 degrees. If the engine is cold it will miss quite bad, but when its nice and hot, the miss is barely noticeable if there at all. Its strange because its only bad when its cold. does anyone have suggestions? would a vacuum leak do this, or possibly a carb problem?????
