re-using stock bore, and re-using rods/pistons
So, I picked up a cheap used block, has no cylinder rust, and was running fine when disassembled. I am taking the crank to get cleaned/turned and the rods to get re-done, and im going to have them check the pistons.
If the pistons turn out to be good (dont see damage on the side skirt), should my block just need a glaze breaker ran through it? There are no scratches down the cylinder walls.
I figured if the pistons checked out ok, i could just run a glaze breaker and then use plastigauge on my crank after having it turned to make sure the line is within spec
Ive done 4 cylinders before, but this is my first v8

You'd have to measure the cylinders with a bore gauge to see if you can get away with just a honing.
