305 help PLEASE
Ok i have a 305 tbi in my 90 camaro and when it sits for like 5-6 hrs it runs really rich. When i start it it will run at 1300rpms untill it gets warm. But i love when it runs like that becase it feels like it has some power to it. So how can i always keep it running rich or at 1300-1500rpms all the time?
Would a chip do that for me or not?

anyways your car should never run better in open loop than it does in closed loop. (open loop is your startup well more complicaated than that but, it's before your at operating temp). Also by better go a little more in depth with that if you will so i can fully understand your thoughts. I'm not trying to be a p.i.t.a. but, i know mine is noisy at startup and noise to most means power in the sotp so it's more a mind thing than anything else. If yours runs better in open loop i'd be a little more worried at y then trying to make it run like that all the time. Also gm made these cars from factory run rediculously rich anyways usually 11 to 1 or thereabouts for a safety factor.
but, in answer to your qestion you could force your car to stay in open loop but, i wouldn't reccomend it unless it's like a track only car, also yes a chip could do what you want but, it would need to be custom not a mail order pos sorta deal.
