CUTTING INTAKE GASKETS

Has anyone ever cut or opened up the ports on metal core intake gaskets. I have Felpro summit part number FPP-1284 Steel Core Laminate/ Printoseal, 2.04 in. x 1.25 in. Port, .060 in. Thick, LT1 Chevy. They do not fit my ported heads and intake as nice as I would like, but I am thinking to mod them with a dremel tool. What do you guys think, has anyone done this? The only other intake gaskets for an LT1 are the stock pressed junk ones.

A sharp cold chisel might work better.
