V6 car wont start after changing gauges

Engine: 350
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.23
V6 car wont start after changing gauges
I dont know much about the car but it is an 82-84 2.8 firebird. My friends car of course, he said he was changing the gauges and now it wont start. so im not sure what to tell him... any ideas

Something wrong with the tach, or the dash in regards to it, can do that...
Have him disconnect the tach wire from the dist, and see if it starts.
