Re: starting problem
The going through gas part is the part I am not sure about. Often times when a car sits for more than a couple of months without fuel stabilizer in the gas, varnishes tend to build up and clog the fuel delivery system. First try to replace the fuel filter and replace the old gas with good gas. Run some fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system and see if that helps any. Use the concentrated stuff. If that doesn't improve your situation, I would start by taking fuel pressure readings and go from there.

Re: starting problem
Change the fuel filter. It will only help. Also check the fuel pressure. you might have a finicky fuel pressure regulator or a fuel pump relay.

Re: starting problem
clean the iac ill bet its really dirty causing it to stick in the open position, thus getting too much air causing the stall, remove it and the bottom plate and clean with carb or brake cleaner, later jimmy

Re: starting problem
im not sure if the O2 sensor would fix the gas usage....do you know if your maintaining spark? That might be another problem ive seen. Try that new filter and see how she does, it might fix it
