383 Cam, Lunati 60101LK

For a mild 383, 601 heads, RPM air gap, and a carb, would this cam be a decent choice??? Street car mostly ....

Specs:

Thats very mild for a 383, IMO. However, 601 heads fully ported are good for a 350, a little too little for a 383. I would swap heads, and then look for a better cam.

To answer your question yes. For a DD, mild 383, that is in the ball park. I run comps 12-408-8 which is real close, to what you posted. Lots of tire smoke with 3.07 gears. Idle is smooth, tq is great. Not the drag racers best, but good gas, 20 mph. Matches the tpi great.
