Heads
I'm thinking about getting a set of heads since i have a mystery leak w/ my motor and i'm pretty sure its the valve seals.. my motor:
1st Gen 350 bored .30 over 4 bolt main
Mild Cam and intake w/ a 750 Quadrajet carb.
Here are my cam Specs..
Cam/Lifter Kit Advertised Intake Duration: 282
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 282
Advertised Duration: 282 int./282 exh.
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.465 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.465 in.
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Lobe Separation (degrees): 114
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./224 exh.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.465 int./0.465 exh. lift
Heads.. STOCK!
I dont' know what type of heads to get any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. i eventually wanna supercharge my motor as well so getting the heads would be a step in the right direction to build a solid top end to match the bottom
Thanks..
John

Re: Heads
The above heads are probably good. I have never used them, they almost look like the summit Repro double humps. If you dont mind buying a new intake vortec heads would maybe be a good solution. They have lots of potential. 416 or similar 305 heads ported with a some machine work for bigger valves, etc., probably wouldnt be a bad choice either. Whats in your budget?

Re: Heads
really i'm trying not to spend over say 6-700 b/c of other expenses that need to be paid first. i can go a lil more but its pushing it... my whole thing is before i rip into the motor i have to figure out the oil leak.. valve seals i'll get the heads.. something else = big problem funny thing is i don't burn oil unless i mash the pedal but then its only a small puff and its only in 1 cylinder as far i know.
