can a lg4 305 run without a.i.r.??

i have shorty headers, a y pipe, a test pipe, and a 3" flowmaster cat back ready to install on my 86 camaro's stock lg4 4bbl 305. the headers are non a.i.r. do i have to worry about my car running poorly without the a.i.r.? do i just remove all the a.i.r. or are there some hoses i have to leave there and plug up??

i cannot wait for my new exhaust, please help!

On how many different forums did you ask this question?

It will run fine without the A.I.R. system. It just won't be street legal.

The AIR system is there to make the cat converter work properly and last a good long while - if you have no cat, theres no point having the AIR system (you weren't street legal anymore when the cat came off, so removing the AIR system too won't change anything as far as that goes)

I think that's a big mistake bro. All you really need to do is pull (disconnect) the O2 sensor, and the ECM will still control the timing electronically for you (you can still run whatever carb you want). If you didn't pull the ECM yet, don't....
