fixing idle, in drive or park????

Engine: V6 2.8 multi-port and V8 5.0 FI
Transmission: 5-Speed and Automatic
Axle/Gears: no idea
fixing idle, in drive or park????

hey guys sorry for more IAC questions but every place i call they are either too busy or closed.

all these stupid instructions can never agree.

when doing minimum idle and messing with the iac valve

does the car need to be in drive or in park?

The throttle minimum air position stop screw should be adjusted to obtain 500-550 RPM with the engine at normal operating temperature, IAC fully closed and disconnected, wheels blocked, parking brake set, all accessories (including cooling fan(s) off, transmission in DRIVE. Check the factory service manual.
