so i finished the 350 swap this weekend and got it running pretty good, but not great... this is my first big engine project that i have ever done, and i did most of it by myself. I never realized what the timing teeth were for next to the harmonic balancer so i never put one on. As you might guess that makes timing it a little harder. But i got the timing close i think, starts up pretty quick with a little gas and the only other thing is that it kinda hesitates at low rpms cruising... is this timing or carb jets or something else? Does anybody have any tips on timing by ear? oh ya and i used copper header gaskets for a change and one is already leaking....
