L69 High Output and Vapor Lock-Purchase Z28 or Not?

I test drove a one owner 1983 Z28 with the HO 305 V8 L69 option and I really liked the car but I did some research here and found that they had or have a vapor lock problem. I do not want a car with problems! Should I forget this car and find another Z28 without the L69 high output 305 V8?

I read the service bulletins in the carb section that Chevy issued many years ago. They give me pause about purchaseing a L69 Camaro.

That issue applies to all the carbureted V8 3rdgens, but its really not that bad - just means it might have to crank over a couple more times (like a couple more seconds) before it starts after you shut it off hot. Its really not a big deal. It doesn't happen all the time either.

That was the case with my old LG4. It was more annoying than anything else.

I sure wouldn't consider that a sales issue on a 25yr old car
