Re: timing
okay i got the timing tab and i have another question. i tried to set the timing and im probably doing it wrong. i shot the light on the tab and try to get it near TDC but when u turn the dizzy the car shuts off and its not even close. now i didn't have the vac hoses hooked up the first time. then i plugged the one on the back then it stayed started and i drove it to put air in my tires ( lol ). now i go to try and do it again and i cant keep it started i don't have the egr hooked up cause all the little plastic hoses are cracked and busted. if i advance it far enough it will stay started. i also don't have a tach right now so i don't know what its at. if i had to guess its really high cause it sounds fast. im not sure what to do. i cant really get those hoses anywhere. my parts store doesn't have them. any advice??
