Is this flex plate a dual bolt pattern?

Found it in this thread and it is the same one I have. I am trying to buy a converter and need to know if this flex plate is dual bolt pattern 168 tooth.

6 mounting bolts for the converter usually means it's a dual pattern. Dual pattern just means you can put a TH350 or a TH400 torque converter onto it. You can just as easily put a TH350 converter into a TH400.

Re: Is this flex plate a dual bolt pattern?

OK, wait, it is dual pattern, so does that mean when the vendor I am looking at trying to get a converter from says, "it will only fit the smaller (153 tooth) bolt pattern which is 10.5" that I can use this flex plate?

I would just go buy another flex plate but this one is already installed on my motor and came as a balanced assembly. Is this flex plate/starter it requires going to make it impossible to mount my heddman shorties?

The flex plate is 31 dollars, here is the link.

Re: Is this flex plate a dual bolt pattern?

Yes, you can. That flexplate will take both the smaller bolt pattern (typical of converters built for smaller 153 tooth flexplates) and the larger bolt pattern (typical of converters built for the larger 168 tooth flexplates).

Having a dual bolt pattern flexplate is a very handy- almost any converter will bolt up to it on one set of holes or the other.
