AC/Heat problem
whne i got the car in the winter, the heater was working fine (i never tried the ac). then after about a month or two, it would choose when to work or not, until it completely died. now, none of my fans ever kick on. any idea of what the problem could be?

I assume you mean the heater fan does not come on in any of the switch positions.
Did all of them quite working all at the same time, or did some speeds work and others didn't before none of them worked?

Re: AC/Heat problem
If you have a multimeter and it is your heater blower motor. 1st check your fuses and make sure they are all in order. I don't remember which one is for your particular model. If they are all good, unplug your electrical connector from the blower motor which is located under the hood on the firewall on the right side of the engine compartment. Turn your key to an on position, Turn on your blower switch or heater switch and check the output voltage on your multimeter. You should have different voltages for each setting. If you don't have any voltage for any selection, then you need to check your Heater switch.

Heres a couple of things to try, i had a similar problem. If your talking about not having any heat turn the power on to the heat and hit the blower motor, if you hear it kick on then its time to replace the blower motor because the bearings are proably shot. If it is the fan for the radiator check power coming in and make sure that the fan it self didnt seize up, like you might of smashed the framwork under it and it is stoping the blades from spinning. I accidently smashed the cheap thin metal where the fan shroud attaches to and it kept my fan from spinning and eventualy fried my fusible link around my starter. Those are a couple of things that you could try,

Might be the relay...#1172. Seems like only the ones from 91-92 will work for me. My mechanic ran a jump wire to see if it was the relay by unpluging it and putting one end of the wire in the positive part of the relay switch and the other in the terminal to turn the fan on. I have to replace my relay (or rig it to stay on always - I replaced). It is located on the firewall behind to the air conditioner next to the blower motor. They cost about $11 new but can be found in the jyard for free.
