it claims to restore compression and make the engine run smoother. i am very sceptical of things like this, but am curious if anybody has used it?

below: a really good informative site about that talks about some additives that have been sued by the FTC for false claims and it was not mentioned.

there are a couple of people there who have used it and said it works, but i am STILL not convinced.

Works for what? Making thicker oil and getting less leaks and blowby? Sure. "Restoring" your worn out engine to new? Uh, no.

 

I got it, its blue and has grey deposits in it, if you don't shake it well enough.
Doesn't have too much viscosity so dunno, hope its not a crappy resin.

I couldn't get lucas, lucas is nice. Also running a dabble of seafoam in the oil.
downside, someone said to change it 200miles after adding the foam, gunks up the filter with crap it loosened or something.

edit: marvels mystery oil is supposed to be good, dunno what for or whats in it, its really old though.

 

exactly what i thought... i will stick to my occasional seafoam in oil. seafoam has never done me wrong.

 

unless your engine is smoking or has extremely low compression dont bother with that stuff

 

my engine is crap, didn't test compression, got to pull it out of storage. What do you think of lucas? its supposed to match any viscosity?
Edit: I won't be using restore again, seafoam YES! but going to work up for a new block. Better than trying to salvage this. in the long run...
