Engine: 350 Tune port
Transmission: 700r4,2500 stall
Choppy Idle
I got a 87 trans am 5.7 tpi 350 and it idles high then it idles low sounds like someone is givin the car throttle idk what the problem could be ,anyone know?

Could be a number of things. You could start out by cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve, checking for vacuum leaks. This article might be helpful for adjusting your idle: https://www.thirdgen.org/tpimod2

You are on the 'Tech/General Engine' board right here... theres a section if you go back one more page thats dedicated just to the TPI engines.
I would start looking for vacuum leaks, as an unusually high idle and a rough idle are typical symptoms of that.
