New Axle causes speedo show wrong speed

Hey guys, I have a weird problem. About a year ago I had my rear axle changed out because my old one was bent from a wreck. Right after that my speedo is reading wrong speed. I can tell that it is off by a certain ratio because the speedo shows higher speed the faster you go off by 20 MPH. I have a 2 part question: One is how do I fix my speedo , and Two is there a way that I can check what rear axle I have. Would there be a factory stamp on it that I could find out what it is.
Thanks for all your input

1. You'll have to adjust your driven and/or driven gears to make the speedo read correctly.

2. Here's how to determine positively what ratio the rear is (jerk the diff cover and look--the car probably needs a fluid change anyway): numbers are stamped on the ring and pinion:

41 : 15 = 2.73
41 : 14 = 2.93
40 : 13 = 3.08
42 : 13 = 3.23
41 : 12 = 3.42
41 : 11 = 3.73

Yes, in the tail shaft. I search might bring up some pics. Here's a link that provides some useful info:

He has an L03, so I'm going to assume it's an electric VSS car.

You can buy an electric converter box if you dont want to mess with the speedo gears, since you have an electric sender.

I dont know enough about it to say, but do the electric VSS cars even have speedo gears?
