CODE 33 on 89 Formula 305
I was driving the car as normal, hit a light and wham! The car stalls and the CE Soon light comes right up, the car becomes hard to start, etc. I have the code diag'd. 33 MAF circuit high. SO I replace the MAF, BAM! Same code. I am now going to replace the Power relay, as I have no idea what else could cause this to keep giving a 33 after resetting the computer. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I get that code if i dont let the car warm up enough in the morning. she runs like a bag of *** and doesnt shift properly. pulll over, turn power off, turn car on, shes good to go again.
i havnt done much to fix the issue mainly because mines got a few electrical issues. and it doesnt happen all the time.
at http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/ it shows 33 relating to MAP related issues. and one MAF issue.
let me know what u find.

Check your vacuum lines by looking at them for cracks, checking where they hook up, and listen for hissing if you don't have a tester. A bad vacuum seal could stall you out just like that.

Thanks, going to replace the relay today and then do the TB POsition, vacuum check, and minimum idle if that doesn't work...already bit the big one by replacing the ^&(^(*(&( MAF.

For anyone keeping score, it was the ECM as diag'ed by following the flow chart. Then BAM a 36 comes, and I go change the MAF burn off, all seems well now....thanks
