Sudden Hesitation

Hey Folks!

Okay, my car just recently started hesitating on light, and hard acceleration at any speed.. It started happening after I did the following things..

Replacing valve cover gasket ( Still leaking)

removing number 3 spark plug ( I did double check this today, spark plug is
tight and wire is on properly)

Increasing fuel pressure (originally it was at 5 psi, I bumped it up to 6 psi..)

Now tomorrow I will go ahead and fix my valve cover gasket leak, it is dripping oil all over my spark plug wires, would that cause something to make it hesitate

also, increasing the fuel pressure might have made my carburetor out of whack, I did turn it down back to 5 psi but it still doesn't run right.

What else should I do to find out the problem..

Thanks

Re: Sudden Hesitation

i do have a mallory 4309 fuel pressure regulator (originally a tbi car) timing was never touched, it was running great, 17 initial 37 total..

see sig for setup,
i do think it has something to do with fuel pressure, i think the car might be running way too rich, because before it used to take a pump or 2 on the gas on a cold start up, now it barely takes one before it starts up.. I'm thinking the float in the carburetor, or a needle and pin is stuck, going to have to take a look at that..

thanks
