No response in throttle when car warms up
Hoping to get a little help here since I'm running out of ideas..
Long story short...I bought an 87 Z28 with a 305 and tuned port injection...was a cold day when I looked at it...bought it that day and came home...when it finally warmed up outside I noticed no oil pressure...pulled motor...block was cracked, heads were cracked, pistons were cracked and bearings were done. Motor ran fine other than no oil pressure.
So I went down to the closest Chevy dealership and bought a brand new crate engine...decided to go with a 350..and put that in with no problems.
My problem that I seem to be having is that after the engine warms up, the car loses all response in the throttle, it starts to back fire, and eventually dies. But it will start right back up. It idles fine in park and neutral, even when u rev it up...but as soon as u start driving for a couple seconds it happens again. It doesn't kick a check engine light either.
Everything I have replaced so far is the knock sensor, IAC valve, Fuel pump, spark plugs, plug wires, vacuum hoses, ECM, and a piggyback adapter for the PROM to get the injectors to run at 22lbs.
Now the car ran fine and idled fine when it was winter here...but the day it got over 80 degrees it started this no response in the throttle problem
Ive put a scanner on it with Data Stream and found that nothing seems to change when it starts to run like this...MAF sensor is working properly as well as everything else.
Hopefully this is enough information...has anyone else had this problem...or no what the reason can be for this?

Well I went and replaced the distributor, cap, rotor and ESC module but still no change. Anyone have the same problem or have some type of solution? Any help would be great.

Is it still TPI? What is your timing set at? All new dizzy with ICM and coil?

Ya it is still TPI. I unplugged the ESC wire and set the timing at 8 degrees...Its got a brand new distributor with module...but I haven't got a new coil yet. It will idle like a champ when it first starts up but after about 5 minutes of driving. New fuel pump makes a lot of noise but I heard thats normal?

A new mass air flow sensor hasn't fixed it either
