Towing backwards
My steering wheel lock mechanism is broke and its real pita to get the car on a dolly frontwards. How safe would towing the car backwards be without the steering wheel locked? Would it wander?

Re: Towing backwards
Wrap the seat belt around the steering wheel then latch it in place. That will keep the steering wheel from turning. Tow truck operators do that regularly when towing a vehicle backwards.

Re: Towing backwards
I'll try the seatbelt thing and see how easy the wheel moves, my front end is high and I have real stiff springs.
I just don't have a thousand bucks I want to spend on a real trailer. And the 30 bucks to rent a dolly overnight is cheaper than the gas to drive the car, not to mention a track failure.
