blonde color engine oil???

I had my oil changed yesterday. I checked it this morning and i noticed it was a blondish color. Isn't the oil supposed to be a brownish color. I also noticed that there wasn't very much oil on the dipstick. Any help is appreciated!

Good clean oil. You're fine. Did you check it after it was running for a while? It has to sit and let the oil drain back into the pan before you can get an accurate reading. Also make sure the car is sitting level.

It hasn't smoked that i have noticed. It's a clear gold color. i did check it after it was running and let it sit on level ground and then checked it.

Woah! You're going to scare the crap out of the guy! LOL! Glad you edited.

NOT a head gasket problem, just a fresh oil change. Oil turns brown after it gets burnt up. Fresh oil looks like honey. You're fine. I guess you're just not used to seeing clean oil.

i did check it after it was running
That would explain why the level was low on your dipstick. Let it sit for a while and check it again. Should show full. Believe me, you're fine.

Well i'm not going to worry about it then. the car is running fine. I'm so used to pulling out the dipstick and the oil is brown lol.
