HELP FAST...Full length headers & starter???

HELP FAST...Full length headers & starter???

I have a 1991 Firebird formula which i have built a 383 stroker for..anyway.. i have a 168 tooth flexplate and hedman full length headers..I can not seem to find a starter that works..do i need the 153 tooth flexplate with those full length headers in order to get everything to line up and fit??

I know it probably doesn't help much but as far as the starter fitting to the block, on my 86 (305 but block size is the same) I'm running the stock Delco starter on it. Now, if I remember right, I had to leave the header unbolted after jimmying it into position and then install the starter before bolting the header up but it all fit, and I'm running full length hedmans as well.

is yours a 153 tooth or 168 flexplate though..?

im running a 168 tooth flywheel with the big stock bulky starter ,the trick is to leave that header loose completely until you tighten the starter then your gucci ---------------------big zeke 355 92 bird
