Will the serp setup from a V6 work on a V8? I don't think it will but I want to make sure.

Yes it will as long as the engine you want to put it on has the same hole locations in the heads and block as the donor engine. GM made several variences on the set up, I know that vans, trucks and cars are a little different from each other. The GM Performance Parts kit is real similiar to the set up on my 89 TPI motor, but must be a little different, maybe in pulley size because the kit uses a shorter belt or the belt in the kit is wrong. I tried to install it before a trip last weekend and it wouldn't fit. The kit is still in the box and will go on the 406 in my Nova.
