removing serp tensioner

just want to make sure so i dont kill myself

im removing the tensioner assembly cause the brackets are getting blasted and either paint or powdered. How much tension is that spring under, do i just remove the bolt in the center or is the spring going to launch it at me.

Re: removing serp tensioner

just unbolt the bracket as the spring is contained within the tensioner assembly
