i was driving on the freeway yesterday for about 20 minutes then got off, stopped at a gas station (i forgot to latch on my hood all the way, lol) i started it back up and it look like was running pretty hot so i took side streets home so i didnt have to push it that much. and when i got half way home it just stalled on me. i had to leave it overnight, and i am gonna go pick it up today, but does anyone know what could be wrong? its v6 MPFI 1986 SC. don't hate please and thanks

 

Check to see if you are getting sparks to from the plug wires is always a good start, I had an issue like that atleast once a year with my 88 ta 305 tbi. Turns out that it kept burning out the ignition module in the dizzy.

 

pretty much...check and probably change my spark plugs...lol.

 

do you think using fuel injector cleaner could of cleaned my fuel tank and possible sent the debris through the fuel filter into the injectors, where they actually got blocked from using the cleaner? idk if that is a possibility or not, but i did just buy and use a bottle of injector cleaner that day.
