Fuel pump options
My fuel pump died on my 92' camaro. I have a mallory 4309 FPR for my holley 650. If i replaced it with another tbi fuel pump would it go out again since im running an fpr? Or should i just get a mechanical pump? If i should go with a mechanical pump which one should i buy and do i replace it with the old fuel pump or does it go on the block? How should i go about placing the fuel pump because i heard you have to drop the rear end. I've also heard you can just pull out the back seat and put the pump on top of the gas tank.

The in-tank pump is going to have to come out one way or another. Might as well do it right and drop the tank. A TPI replacement or some aftermarket like Walbro 255 would be a better choice than TBI replacement, and would serve you well with the 4309 reg.

Re: Fuel pump options
I went and bought a replacement Bosch fuel pump. It has a lifetime warranty and it was only fifty bucks. So you have to drop the rear end to get the tank out or can you pull the back seats and carpet out?
