for the future
hey guys i just wanted to know what your opinions were on this future set up i have planned . i own a 84z 49.thousand miles with a new 350 maybe 3000 miles on that and stock 700r4 tranny. any way i noticed summit sells head combos and i was looking at this one in particular http://store.summitracing.com/partde...S-K314-445-405 i also would purchase these lifters http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=TFS-21400003 and to top it off a gear drive love the sound they make
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=PJJ-327-1C-N what do you think would it all hold up? or would i just have to many problems and if so what else would i need to complete the project any input is appreciated

IMO, gear drives are a waste of performance $'s best spent where they do some good.
Hope the bottom end, transmission, and rear are up to the task.

Re: for the future
This would be a retrofit roller setup then? 246/254 cam on a 350? That's a CRAZY camshaft eh? Like 4000+ RPM stall speed eh? Completely unstreetable for most people. I think that's a pretty wild combo, you up for that? Steep rear gears, big stall speed, balanced rotating assembly, high compression ratio.... etc?
Don't get a gear drive. There's no good features of them. Get a double roller normal one.
