ok so i have a 350 gm performance crate motor in my car came that way when i bought it...i believe its just the block 290hp one with all the 305 parts slapped on it...i have a tremec tko 600 trans only about 3500 miles on it...and i want more power plan was to get a 400 block and build a 406 but with the economy out of wake right now and being i got layed off...not sure i ganna beable to afford that 406 build...of course my dreams are a lil big id like to be puttin 500 to the wheels lol...but id be happy with 400...all on pump gas its just my weekend cruiser...im thinking for right now i should just build up the 350 and see if i can get say 350-400hp at the crank...which is do able...was kinda curious what my fellow TGO members think...

If you are willing to settle for 350 - 400hp the 350 would be the way to go. A 400 would be easier to build more power, but comes at quite a price!
