A little confused...

Ok. This seems like a stupid question but here goes. As I have posted in many threads I purchased a 87 Iroc that came stock with a 305 however the previous owner swapped in a 350 p/n 12520268. From what members have told me it is a truck engine however it was a replacement that worked in the Camaro. My question is will all products that say they are for a 350 work for my engine? I called CraneCams and explained what I had and they yes'd me along and gave me a part number and a have a good day but when I look up the p/n on their site it specifically says for Camaros that came factory equipped with a 350 which i specifically told them that it did not.. i jsut dont want to spend 300+ on a camshaft or order a set of headers for 500+ to find out that they dont work on my engine.. and i have yet to find a place in NJ that specializes in bulding up motors and is knowledgable on camaros and the correct parts for what i have.. and again not sure what most of these places are like about returning products because my application is not right.. so just wondering if all products that are labeled 350 will work or how i would go about finding out if a product will work.. thanks

That was a factory replacement engine for the LO5. It should be machined for factory roller lifters (as stated in your other thread), but may have flat tappet lifters & cam. All 3rd gen 350's had roller lifters & cam. Crane probably recommended a roller lifter cam part number.

It should be one-piece rear main seal. The heads have the '87-later intake manifold bolt pattern/angle and center-bolt valve covers.

It's a small block Chevy. Basically everything available will fit/work as long as you pay attention to details.
