ok last night i went out driving,
the problem was once or twice once i hit 4th gear (its an automatic) the tranny would slip into neutral.......wtf?!?!?!?
i'd be going fine and then vroom high rev no output crap.
so i stopped the car, turned it off and it was fine, untill about a half hour later when it did it again. its been fine since but its been on my mind

what the hell happened?
my tranny filter and fluids were renewed less than a month ago and its been fine except this.

any ideas?

if it neutrals out in any gear DO NOT REV IT!! the cluthes are actually slipping and this will kill it. Check your cable and make sure its tight. If it sags at all it is probubly 2 loose.

OD is horrible in these things. Mine never see's od unless im doing 65 or more on the highway

 

yeah, turns out the entire transmission burned out because of this, as in gone...... so looks like i'm just replacing the whole thing.....

i guess i finally have an excuse to convert it to a 5 speed manual
