305ci Rear main seal
Ok, so im new to this forum but here goes!! I have an 83 chevy c10 with what i think to be a rear main seal leak. I would like to know if any one here has any experience with replacing this 2 part seal...;. thanx

Drop the pan, take the main cap off, fish the block half of the old seal out from behind the crank, push the new seal half in around the crank, replace the cap, replace the pan. Easier said than done, of course.

do I have to remove the motor mount bolts and jack up the engine to get the pan out?

No idea. This forum is for 82-92 Camaros and Firebirds only, not trucks.
