What do ya think of this combo?
I'm going to build up an 89 355 tpi and here's what I'm looking to do.
355 cu. in.
Large tube runners
Scoggins/Dickey Vortec hi flow tpi intake
52 mm bbk tb
lt4 hot cam
26 lb. ford injectors
1.6 gm roller lifters
hooker headers
GM fast burn heads
ported plenum
t5 trans (for now)
3.73 posi
what do ya'll think of this set up and what kind of numbers are we
looking at (ballpark)
any suggestions are welcome.

That's basically their Vortec TPI crate engine with better heads.
If you're putting it together yourself, use the Stealth Ram instead of the base & runners.

Those heads aren't better. just a too-large intake port that actually flows less up to 0.500", and aluminum. I'd say if you want to play it this way, go with either Edelbrock ETEC 170s or AFR 180s.

Re: What do ya think of this combo?
You'll need to do some custom chip tuning to get the computer happier with the camshaft.
Once you do that, I'd predict 310-320 RWHP, same as that combo made in my car, but I had L98 Corvette heads. See the thread at the top of the TPI forum called "Quest for a better flowing TPI" and you'll see the tricks we did to the intake manifold to get the horsepower higher than that.
