Port Work Cost's?
I have an 86 305 TPI motor with 416 casting heads. I have installed cam/lifters already, getting 1.6 rollers, headers, already have a nice exhuast. I am also going to purchase high flow runners, my question is what is a rought estimate on what it will cost to port my plenum/match it to runners, match my intake manifold to runner, and gasket match my intake manifold/heads? I think this will benefit the 305 a little, but the real reasoning is the 383 I am building, eventually I will go to single plane EFI and have the 416's cut to 1.94's or go aftermarket, but until I have the money for the system I want a TPI that wont completely restrict the 383. Thanks. James

Re: Port Work Cost's?
Porting out the intake won't do anything if the heads are bone stock. You can put 50000cfm through the intake, but the heads only flow so much.
Work on the heads.
Work on the heads.
