Headlight motor problem...

My right headlight motor works, but when I shut it off it makes a loud clicking? noise while turning, it last for about 5 seconds. It is fairly loud, and also twice the headlight would not go up when I turned them on. Its getting cold in my area so I dont know if that could have something to do with it. Thanks

In the reducer, there are 3 nylon bushings. They wear out. You can get some off Ebay, or else in a pinch, the Ford window motor bushings are also the same size. I'd try pulling the headlight assembly, pull off the motor and check those. There are some write-ups out there that guide you through it. If not for a Firebird, try searching for the same repair on a Fiero since they use the same motors.
