im looking at an 86 iroc that i may buy, its cheap, the body is straight, it already has a 3.73 posi with disk brakes. But it looks like someone has taken out the a.c compressor and lines. From the pics i have seen the a/c condenser is still there. Can i still put an a.c back in it? or is it done for?
also i plan on an ls1 swap at some point.

Regardless of what has been removed, everything can be replaced.
I bet only the compressor was removed. Bolt a new one in, put a new condensor in & your good to go! Dash controls still there?

When you put the AC back together again, you should replace the receiver/dryer. The condenser will probably be fine, but it should be checked out as part of the AC re-install (flushed, at least).
If you're putting an LS1 in it soon, you might want to just wait until then to put the AC back together, as the 3rd gen compressor and lines aren't a direct fit on an LS1.

thanks, yeah i may end up waiting. would save money i guess.
