why are inline electric pumps so loud?
i installed an inline electric pump. this thing is loud. i used rubber between the mounting plate and the rear area i mounted it. are they supposed to be loud? how do i quite it down?

They are friggen loud eh? My summit knockoff of the holley red is deafening. Even with that sheet of paper (rubber) behind it.
I don't understand that either. In tank ones (stock pumps for every fuel injected car on the road) are dead quiet. Don't ask me why in line ones are so loud???

dido to the summit knock off. i have the same thing. i uses 1/2'' thick rubber washers behind it and its still loud. sux
